I have a friend that is all up in arms over the anti-Mormons saying that Joseph Smith was wrong in his translation of the Pearl of Great Price. How do I help him get passed this. It has becomes a stumbling block to him.

Don

Dear Don,

If I understand your question, you have a friend who is disturbed because there are those who say that Joseph Smith was wrong in his translation of the Pearl of Great Price. Why is he not more disturbed because there are those who think he fabricated the Book of Mormon, or why is he not more disturbed because there are those who believe that we are not Christians-the list could go on and on.

Perhaps he should reflect on the Article of Faith that says, We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
