Dear Gramps,

After many many years (20+), a year ago I returned to The Church, but my wife has not embraced the light of The Gospel. We were not married and sealed in The Temple. Is my lack of being sealed to an eternal companion going to preclude me from serving in any callings?

Be patient with your wife. You are making a change which may cause some tension in your marriage. Your wife has been used to a certain kind of relationship. You are now trying to get back into the church, and this may cause a strain. Just be aware of it. Make sure you get some good home teachers!
