A person who has deeply studied the scriptures can find something that will inspire him rather easily. He paid for that “easy” with study and prayer. I would be loath to rely upon the casting of lots for the inspiration of something important to me. He has given us methods to increase the probability of the rightness of the answers we seek. He has given us methods to temporarily increase our ability to hear the Holy Ghost. If it is important to me do I want to ‘cast lots’ or ‘ponder and prey’. I know which one I am more comfortable with.
