In reply to <a href="https://askgramps.org/are-there-scriptures-that-justify-slavery/#comment-34037">Gary Banks</a>.

I don't want to sound confrontational as I appreciate everyone trying to shed light on these difficult bible verses but as a mother I could never hate any of my children and I am no where nearly as good as our Father in Heaven who is perfect so I cannot subscribe to the idea that he could hate any one of His children including Lucifer.

I think he allows us consequences for our actions, even "hates" the sins we do, and is deeply saddened even to tears as recorded in Moses but to insinuate that he no longer loves one of His children is out of my realm of comprehension.

For as many verses as you can find that may insinuate such haterd as you described, there are 5 more that speak of His everlasting love and long suffering with His children (D&C 19 is one of my favorites ❤).

Its a hard subject and there are so many verses that seem to conflict in the scripture but at the end of the day, my heart tells me that our Father in Heaven is no respect or if persons, that's He loves each of us and like there is nothing we ever did to earn this love there is nothing we can ever do to extinguish it.

Sometimes it is understood, through reading the verses within there context, that G-d does still love but hates the behaviors of his children.
