Benjamin,

You may be strong in your testimony, but do you know why these other students aren't? Think about that for a moment. Also, please consider not everyone is blessed with a good family situation or environment, and over time these can take a toll on one's spiritual growth.

Personal insecurities may make them feel the need to act out. It may be they are bombarded by negative media that refutes what the church teaches. (Yes, school does this, too.) It could even be they have never even read the Book of Mormon or prayed about it. (Believe it or not, I had a companion who never read the Book of Mormon through once until he arrived at the MTC.)

My suggestion to you is this: Don't fight with these kids, because contention is of the devil. Rather, pray for them, and then let the Lord work on them. In Luke 12 it says this:

"6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."

The Lord knows what ALL His children are doing, where they are spiritually, and how to deal with them; He will do so when He chooses. Until then, put yourself in a position where you can be an instrument in His hands. We are in a war for the souls of men here and the constant companionship of the Spirit, charity, and patience are just a few of the attributes we'll need if we want to help convince our brothers and sisters of the truth. And with secularism and relative-morality taking over, we've more than got our work cut out for us.

I know it can be hard to love the naysayers sometimes, but try, because Jesus Christ can and "[H]is hand is stretched out still."
