I used to home teach an elderly man who has since passed away. One winter while he was out working in his shop (he lived on a hill top in a very rural location) he said an elderly man approached him, with white hair and beard, and asked him for something to eat. Thinking he was just a transient, and not having much to eat himself, he told the man no, and went back to his work. He said after a while his conscience began to bother him, so he went to go look for the old man. He followed his tracks in the snow until they came to the fence at his property line. He said the tracks stopped right at the fence line and did not continue on the other side. He said he always felt bad about this, because it may have been a test given to him by one of the Three Nephites.
