This is a great question and inspired answer! I found myself in a similar situation with a few degrees of difference about 10 years ago and my wife and I are celebrating two years of eternal marriage this year even though we've been married nearly seven. It's a hard trail to follow, but a thought that carried me through was that there is One who had a harder trail. There were none to help and He suffered for us so He could help us. Trust in the Savior.
