If you'd ever witnessed the horrific damage that incest can wreak upon a family, you might understand why some would think it 'unforgiveable'. Gramps put it simply, the Savior didn't mention it as a sin that can't be repented of, though obviously the requirements to be considered 'repentant' of this most foul of misdeeds are strict, as they should be. One of the reasons for Church discipline is protection of the INNOCENT, which indeed children and otherwise impressionable family members are!

Any man (it's rare for a woman to be accused of this crime, but it has happened) who truly seeks repentance will fully confess his crime(s), not only to the Bishop and Stake President, but also to law enforcement and the courts, as applicable. He must endure whatever the court demands of him, be it imprisonment or confinement in the asylum, until he's deemed fit to be released, if ever, and then strictly comply with his parole. AFAIK the leaders have strict reporting requirements per the laws of their respective states and Church policy, and supposedly there's even a 'hotline' to advise them.

So, yes, it's POSSIBLE, but it's not EASY. Consider what his victim(s) has had to endure, and will endure for life, and I have little difficulty putting his feelings beneath those whom he's harmed. If he can't be found a suitable candidate for rebaptism in this life...well, too bad. The Lord will, in the end, do what's right, and if this offender can, in the final judgment, be found 'worthy to stand', He will see that's it happens.

I don't think the attontment of Christ cover incest,Deep Doctrine specifyes our children, as our special friends of the pre-existance our friends that chooses us before accepting a body so we can show them the way of Godlikness, now An ex missionary ,and a person that new all Holy things ,was sealed to that being in this earth, Is no differences cause the spirit of God was given to them in their youth as priest of Melquizidek and chooses to commit such a degree of fault ,Isn't just like blasphemy to the Holy Spirit after knowing all of this? I see no difference ,it's like spitting on the Holy ghost and say after I am sorry and don't spect consequences? Sure ,I know the Old testament,The new testament and the book of Mormon and deep doctrine Jesus Attonmet dosent cover incest to those that where given the law .My testimony and If am wrong I will not allow it in my future world, cause God dosent allow it in his for he is perfect and this dosent heppen in his world .Amen

I am one of those children that had a Father who practiced incest. I don't want to be in his life but I value him as a child of God and I am thankful that it is possible for him to be forgiven of the things he did to me. I want people to know that you can make it to a state of mind where you do pray for those who despitefully use you. The atonement has given me a priceless gift, the gift of giving forgiveness. It is not easy to attain in such situations but it is possible.
