I'm an openly gay man. I've discussed it in Sunday school, priesthood, and institute. However, I keep my covenants and am thus worthy of the priesthood. If I were not, however, you'd be correct in saying that I shouldn't have the priesthood.

Yes, there needs to be recognition between being and doing here. Why would God create a Gay person and then outlaw them? We are all made in God's image after all. I know many people who feel they were born Gay. I used to work on a Christian Help Line, Many had attempted suicide because of various church denominations treating them as outcasts. These days, thank fully , people look at the whole person and their value as a human being. Their sexual orientation should be irrelevant as long as they follow the laws of Chastity!
