Patty (and Gramps),

As far as I know, there is nothing restricting a person who has committed suicide from receiving temple ordinances. My sister committed suicide 30 years ago and I had her temple work done. We are not asked when we submit names about how people have died, just a confirmation that they have died.

As has been stated by many, it is our responsibility to do the temple work, not to judge how worthy the people are to receive it. It is their choice to accept it or not.

God bless you and your family as you heal from this tragedy.
