I discussed this with many leaders on my mission.

One Bishop described the 10 virgin parable in manner towards the sacrament.

Once the wedding had started the doors were shut. Those who weren't on time weren't able to join.

While this may be a stricter variation viewing of the sacrament, it made sense to me. If you really have respect for this ordinance you wouldn't put yourself over other members and make them have the doors open to you.

I see that when the doors are shut, it allows more reverence. If members complain about that, then there should be some different points of doctrine taught to help members understand why they shouldn't create contention

Every ward I have ever been in has closed the chapel doors during the sacrament. Those who come late often wait in the foyers while the sacrament is passed, out of respect for those already in the chapel, but those passing the sacrament will take it out to those waiting in the foyers. Once the bread and water have been passed, those in the foyers are invited to come into the chapel. The doors usually remain closed for the entire meeting after that.
