In reply to <a href="https://askgramps.org/die-8-get-free-ride-celestial-kingdom/#comment-32808">Shasta Jones</a>.

Wait a minute there, friend! Mortality isn't a condemnation for those "less lovely and pure"---mortality is a gift, not just a testing grounds to determine our eternal destiny, but a rigorous training course to develop strength of character and Christlike attributes.

Remember that Jesus Himself willingly chose to be born in a mortal body. He, too, "received not of the fullness at the first, but received grace for grace" (D&C 93:12). If Jesus, Abraham, Moses, Nephi, Alma, Esther, Mary the mother of Jesus, Gordon B. Hinckley, Mother Teresa and other great men and women got to come to this world, is it really fair to put them in the same category of what you perceive as "not too lovely and pure for this world?"

Just because you are tested by obtaining mortality doesn't mean you are inferior to those who are tested by some other way.

I've often pondered whether the children I might have during the Millennium will get the chance to go through the type of character-building trials I've been blessed to experience. If Satan will be bound during their lifetime, how will they know temptation and how to choose good over evil? I have no idea. We don't have the answers yet, but like the writer of this article said, we know that God is completely fair. He won't deprive anyone of the growth and progression they desire.

We don't need to understand every detail of the Plan right now, and that's okay. As a perfectionist who prefers to understand every little detail of a concept before moving on, I've had to learn and relearn this lesson many times. We need to have faith that God knows what He's doing and that everything He does for us is for the best.

Hope that cleared up some confusion.

so that would mean I'm inferior to those who die before the age of 8. I would be of the scum of the earth because I am not too lovely and pure for this world. This makes me feel bad. Most people are not tested they either die before the age of 8 or they living in the Millennium. It is a minority who are tested--probably 20%. I suppose this means that I really messed upon in my pre mortal world. This does not give me comfort that I fell short.
