But except for a few notables it doesn&#039;t give the accounts of very many individuals being baptized (although it mentions large groups of people being baptized). What makes it a bit murky is that we don&#039;t have authoritative records about the practice of baptism under the Mosaic law in the Middle East at that time. Lehi had a vision of Christ&#039;s baptism, and Nephi wrote at great length about that, and about the commandment for all men to be baptized, but nothing is mentioned about his actual baptism, or of anyone in his family.
