Christ himself had weaknesses during his mortal life including those that are a normal part of mortality: hunger, thirst, and fatigue, as well as imperfect knowledge, limited skill, and a need to be taught.  He was also subject to illness, physical pain, severe temptations, and overwhelming emotions.  He experienced all the weaknesses of mankind so he would know how to succor his people.  Yet he was without sin.
