I did not date much there…but one time when I did, a mother told her son, “we do not approve of you dating a divorced woman, you don’t have to marry a used car,” and I recall a BYU housing group being concerned about a divorced woman living with other BYU students. I haven’t experienced that anywhere else in the Church. I have no doubt that Heavenly Father is pleased with my decision to leave the abusive relationship I was in. It was my mistake to marry that person. It was right to leave it. I just focus on lifting everyone around me. My life is full enough and I have enjoyed many blessings. I deserve someone special because I am special—until then, Our Savior is my Husband.
