You should also pray and fast about it. The truth is we really don’t know the facts to give you sound advice. Contrary to popular belief – almost half of the domestic abuse victims in North America are men. For all we know, you could be living in constant fear. In such a case, I would say you have absolutely every right to consider divorce. But definitely talk with your Bishop. Dallin H. Oaks said in the April 2007 General Conference: “When a marriage is dead and beyond hope of resuscitation, it is needful to have a means to end it”.

Had I known what I now now, I would have tried harder. I see so much negative that has come from my first marriage failure and even from my second, but not as much. If I had a chance to do over I would have tried to keep my marriage together. I don’t know if he would have stayed. We were both endowed and sealed. My second marriage we were both endowed and not sealed. Life is quite complicated now. I know that you would put effort into a new relationship, if you could put that flirtation and effort into this marriage it may have a chance. Praying for you.
