The best reference on this topic is the Church’s publication “All is Safely Gathered In.” There is specifies that we should: 1. Have a three month supply of rotatable goods (what you normally eat). 2. Store drinking water. 3. Have a financial reserve. 4. Have a longer-term supply of food stored, primarily rice, wheat, and beans (the things that can sustain life). It would be safe to assume that this “longer-term supply” should be at least a one year supply, and that considering the signs of the times an even larger supply of such goods would be wise. As Spencer W. Kimball said regarding food storage, “why call ye me Lord Lord and do not what I say?”

They never changed it to just 3 months… We are asked to have A 72-hr kit, a 3 month supply of everything you usually eat, and then at least a 1yr supply of basics

Food storage guidelines have changed from 7 years, to 2 years, to 1 year, and now down to 3 months. Times change and so does the counsel of the church leaders on this and many issues. Stay flexible and stay in tune with current revelation.
