– Sons of Perdition like Cain are last to be resurrected. So he could be an evil spirit fugitive and vagabond on the Earth, A.K.A. with Satan. David Patton could have seen him as a spirit, as the spirit looks like the body. (the Brother of Jared found out). I agree with Gramps that its not essential to our salvation to know about Cain. Just don’t become like him.

I am not sure there was a physical Cain. Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel is a story. I do not believe it was ever intended to be taken literally. It is very obvious that man has been on earth far longer than the bible story of Adam and Eve. The story of the creation was give to us to help us understand the plan of God. The stories were handed down by word of mouth for generations and then were written down by the Israelites. Noah’s flood and the tower of babel are also stories. They did not physically happen.

As I read this, my thought was, is it quite possible Cain represents all those here that share his behavior patterns? We know we have people who are greedy, conspire with the adversary willingly, murder, and have been marked as in the bible (thinking fugitives). Since the bible is mostly symbolic, it would seem then that Cain while once a human like us is now symbolic of people that followed in his footsteps (as it were) in today’s world. Just a thought.
