I think you are way out of line here. Gramps was sharing his opinion on what he was asked. Why do you chastise him for doing what you just did, share your opinion?

Gramps is great, but I don’t think he’s capable of giving the nitty-gritty metaphysical details on this one. This answer looks at gospel and science and one I find thoughtful and thought-provoking.

I would be very careful here – Mankind is notorious for rationalizing and excusing himself from his behavior because he hates being told that his sugar-coated sins are still sins. You are leaving out how profoundly laid out the seriousness and consequences for homosexuality – even effeminate behavior (1 Cor. 6:9) – really have been by God himself. As such, gender reversal/confusion is clearly not God’s fault, as He has clearly already stated that sin is never forced upon anyone (1 Cor. 10:13), and yet still states that homosexuality is not only sin, but described as an abomination and directly written as a “thou shalt not” commandment (Lev. 18:22).
Nobody’s gender is a “mistake” – it is clearly stated in many different instances that this is a personal choice that we are accountable for. And both scriptural and historical record shows that homosexuality is condemned by God to the extent that it seems to be the one single behavior pattern above all others that “brings down the hammer” to end corrupt societies once God has deemed that they have steeped in it long enough. Gramps, I would not be trying to sugar-coat this lifestyle in any way – gender confusion is expressly condemned by God as deplorable sin in the Old Testament, New Testament, with gender expressly clarified in the Family Proclamation.

Brothers and Sisters – let us not cower in the face of a society that increasingly wants to reject the plain and precious Gospel doctrine of gender and family that none of us should have the remotest confusion about. God has continually clarified His policy on this throughout human history, including continually through modern revelation. You are prophetically implored not to reject Gospel principles for social acceptance.

A revealing question to ask yourself: Were the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah directly, completely, and violently wiped out by God because every person in those two cities had the same “birth defect”?

Gramps – Your response mentions none of these canonical doctrines or truths and provides no warning for this behavior, and is thus a dangerously misleading disservice to your readers.
