“But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him.” Moroni 7:17

As I read this, it tells me that ANYTHING in the world that A) persuades to do evil, or B) encourages a lack of belief in Christ, or C) to deny Him, or D) to not serve God, is part of the great and abominable church. It has nothing to do with any organized religion. Anything and everything throughout the world that has come under the influence of the Adversary and espouses the above points A-D falls under that heading.
