Baptism is done by most Christian denominations. At one time, each believed only their version was valid , these days most of the established churches accept each other's baptisms as valid. I find it difficult to accept that LDS insist, only priesthood holder in the church have that power. John the Baptist and the apostles who went forth to baptise were not priesthood holders. Ironically most mainstream churches reject LDS baptism as valid. I have both Catholic and LDS friends and I think that the intention and the spirit in which it is done means as much as who's baptism is valid or not. In the New Testament it clearly says that God was against all the schisms so how can any of use justify any of them by arguing one way is better than another.
