Didn’t Joseph use this same seer stone to treasure hunt
before he became the Prophet? So not sure the Lord would have directed him to
use it in a treasure hunting scheme.

Wax, really, it doesn’t matter how weird the translation technique was. How it was all magical not spiritual, that doesn’t matter, just believe. That is what is the matter with TBM mormons today. They never look at truth they just want to believe so their bubble doesn’t burst.

Did you ever think that maybe the seer stone wasn’t simply found but Joseph was directed to it by the Lord? The bottom line is, if you read the Book of Mormon and study you can’t help from concluding this book was of divine inspiration plain and simple. Every time I read Lehi’s dream and apply it to my life and the world, its a testimony of our day. I find it amazing that Joseph Smith’s being told by the Angel Moroni that his name would be known for good and evil through out the world…how could he know that then with out being divinely inspired and instructed. If the Book of Mormon isn’t true nothing is, but….it is true.

At any rate, the most important thing God provided Joseph Smith was direct inspiration from the Holy Spirit. The more Joseph learned to understand and use that gift, the less he needed physical objects of any sort to channel his revelations.
