I was on the singles committee. Sometimes on Sunday night we would have a fireside. After the fireside we would have treats and time to mingle. The committee was responsible for cleaning up after the treats. This meant putting away chairs, washing dishes--although usually they would be on paper plates. We had to clean the kitchen--wipe off the counters and sweep and mop the floor. We also were responsible for vacuuming in the room that we mingled in. After that we tied the garbage bag and took it to the outside dumpster and replaced it with a new garbage bags. There are things that need to be done on Sunday. I get up and make my bed. I scoop out the cat box and feed the cats. I clean up the kitchen when I am done with a meal.

Sometimes a less than valiant spouse will ask their more believing partner to go buy something at the store on the Sabbath. Where compromise is not possible without contention, I think the Lord knows the intent of our hearts, and what we would do if we were all alone.
