Just like Marijuana is a gateway (or introductory) drug for harder drugs like Meth and Heroin, photos of swimsuit models as found in magazines like Sports Illustrated or Maxim are gateways to hard pornography. It's called soft porn for a reason. Once you are looking at those, then it is a small transition to looking at photos of models with their swimsuits just spray painted on. Then from there, the transition is small to eventually viewing complete nudity. The Adversary is a patient one, indeed.

The Lord has said: "...he that looketh on a woman to lust after her, or if any shall commit adultery in their hearts, they shall not have the Spirit, but shall deny the faith and shall fear." D&C 63:16.

And what happens to those that fear? "Wherefore, I, the Lord, have said that the fearful, and the unbelieving, and all liars, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie, and the whoremonger, and the sorcerer, shall have their part in that lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." D&C 63:17

Far better to avoid it, or if you have lusted in your heart, to completely repent. You will know you have completely repented when the hand wringing compulsion to view such things is gone, and you are able to make a free and independent choice to turn away from such things. Satan's chains can be broken. This can only come by having your heart completely changed by the Spirit, so that you no longer have a disposition to do evil. It is an ongoing daily process---not a once in a lifetime occurrence---obtained only through prayer, fasting, scripture study, good works and self discipline. It CAN be done.
