I live in a fairly heavily LDS-populated area and almost every single LDS person I know has multiple pets and treats them very well.

I think it’s just a matter of how one was raised and their particular feelings about our little four-footed creatures. In our home we take in strays and at the moment have three on our own dogs and one of our daughter’s, and I have a number of friends in the church with the same passion.
