I really find general conference and books by the latter-day prophets to be full of plenty of material on marriage, as well as a few church videos over the years. This is one of my favorite topics to read about, so I really don't see how anyone can feel there is a dearth of this kind of material unless they are not reading.

1) Spiritual giants : I agree that there are what I would term as spiritual giants in the leadership of the church. In my own opinion that is an accurate description of our Presidents and their councilors and the Apostles. However we are in the days when a second councilor for the presiding bishopric of the church can be found as a second councilor in a ward bishopric. There is a strong and widespread amount of strength in the church in this day and age. Its almost as if it was planned it this way. This means a wider pool of talent for the general authorities to draw upon, it does not mean the authority of our President is impeded in any way.

2) The Gospel was planned by someone with a greater understanding than we have. It should not be a surprise if the most important and sacred relationships in time and all eternity were the very places where the Gospel was the most effective. It is almost as if marriage was something our Lord found important.

I suspect that one reason the General Authorities don't share their marital difficulties is that they have so few , and work through them so automatically. I am not to be even compared with such spiritual giants, and I have not had any relationship difficulties with my wife of 22 years. How much more successful must their marriages be?
