In reply to Bluetahoe. Northeastern United States has the largest concentration of native Americans who possess DNA Haplogroup X, which is only concentrated there and amongst the peoples of the Palestine area. Look it up on Wikipedia or some other encyclopedia that you trust.

There are burial mounds all over North America. Many of artifacts have been recovered from these burial mounds and are in museums and private collections. Even Joseph smith had a vision of the person who was buried on one of these mounds. From what I remember he was a Nephite warrior who suffered through many battles, had all his teeth broken out along the way and was finally suffered by God to be killed by an arrow.

My husband, brother and sister-in-law and I have been going to Rod Meldrums B of M evidence Conf. for years here in Utah! So much stuff to learn about & such a testimony gained from all this evidence! I highly concur with your suggestion

Actually, a great deal of evidence (and skeletons) has been found throughout the heartland. Rod Meldrum and Wayne May have spent many years discovering artifacts and documenting that the Book of Mormon events occurred in the midwest part of what is now the United States. Scholars differ energetically on this, but support for the North American view is overwhelming. Google Rod Meldrum and you will find fascinating data to answer your questions.

I’ve read where the farmers who first plowed the land around the Hill Cumorah in upstate New York, found tens of thousands of arrowheads in and around that area. More so, than any other area. The evidence indicates some mighty battle once took place there.
