All save the Bushman are puff pieces, what we need is a balanced picture, warts and all so people can know all and make informed choices and pray for confirmation knowing all sides.

Madsen. They’ve been transcribed into a single book called “Joseph Smith, the Prophet”. Brother Madsen later went on to publish another set of audio lectures on Joseph Smith called “The Life and Teachings of the Prophet Joseph” and also has a 15 audio lecture set on all the presidents of the Church. All of these are still available in LDS bookstores as far as I know. Highly recommended.
