Hi Bob, I don't know if you will be able to get this - but would you be willing to provide those notes? I think it is spectacular that you have done the research. I am a convert also - and had previously held fast to only the bible. I was converted almost entirely through bible verses. I would love to see/hear your thoughts from your study! Thanks!

As a convert, I had the same question(s), so hopefully the following will help Mindy.

Mindy, I engaged in an 8-year long Bible research project when I joined the church, and produced 21 pages of fine-print Bible study notes (this paper has now been converted into an Android cell phone app called "Missionary's King James Reference" if you're insterested).

There are countless scriptures in the Bible that really do help single out the LDS church and rule out all others. I will give you only a few - but critical - examples:

Full immersion baptism: Described in Romans 6:3-6. The vast majority of Christian churches no longer baptize, thouse some do, and a few of those still do it by immersion.

Acts 7:55-56: Father and Son seen standing side-by-side in heaven as two distinct individuals. This version of God shatters the "trinitarian" view of a single-bing God, and rules out the nearly 90% of all Christian churches in the process, as most churches believe Jesus and God the Father are the same individual. In John 12:28, Father and Son are recorded having a 2-way conversation - and 90% of Christian churches still find a way to make this citical error in understanding deity.

John 16:13-14: The Holy Ghost is a man, and is a 3rd person who is not the Savior or God the Father: The LDS church is unique in its correct understanding of the Holy Spirit. No other church I ever belonged to ever got this right - or even tried.

Aaronic and Melchizedek priesthoods: Heb 7:11, Heb 5:4-6, Heb 5:6-10, Heb 4:14, Heb 2:17, etc: The LDS church is the only church that bears these priesthoods. The vast majority of Christian churches don't even claim to bear any priesthood authority whatsoerver, let alone the only official ones.

Seventies: Luke 10:1. The LDS church is unique in quorums of seventies, which Christ established. No other church has them or even knows what they are.

Isaiah 2:2: This is a VERY detailed description of the Salt Lake Temple, it's purpose, and even surrounding geography. Note that this temple is described as coming forth in the latter days, in which we now are, and the temple was indeed built out of the surrounding mountains. "Mountain of the Lord's house" indeed. The Ute indians/language that Utah is named after, by the way, means "mountain tops" or "high places".

Exaltation: Pslams 82:1 & 6, John 10:34-36, 1 Peter 5:6, 1 Samuel 28:13, John 5:19, etc etc etc. Dispite being declared by Christ himself, no other church teach this doctrine and 100% of them consider anything even resembling it as total blasphemy.

No Paid Ministry: Titus 1:7 & 11, John 1:10, Isaiah 45:13, 1 Peter 5:2, Mark 11:15, Luke 19:45, John 2:14, etc. What was the only example of Jesus ever becoming rageful, violent, destructive, and even weilding a whip? Answer: when he caught people profiteering off of religion. He angrily called them "thieves".

Now take the above examples, just the few that I've provided, and put them together. No other church out there can pass this little test, let alone adding ALL of them together. And I have 21 pages of these examples from the King James Bible alone.

Hope this helps.
