It is sad to me that the asker here fails to recognize that sex is not a bad thing. Fornication is a bad thing. Adultery is a bad thing. Fornication is not bad because of the actions that take place, but because of the context in which they take place. When sexual activities are participated in without the idea of permanence, they are lustful activities. It is sad that today's teaching techniques and the media have shaped the asker's idea of sex to cause him to feel feelings of guilt and lust when participating in activities that should bring feelings of love and peace.

It seems that there was a lack of doctrinal and spiritual understanding about the nature and purpose of sexual activities within marriage. The powerful emotions of sexuality are meant to strengthen the relationship between spouses and when they are not used for that purpose, we are mocking God's plan and commandments. When they are used for that purpose, we are glorifying His creations. Why then feel unworthy to give a priesthood blessing? It is naive and immature to feel spiritually dirty after having sex with your wife.
