I respectfully disagree. As the Bible says, the fall of Adam was around 4,000 BC. The flood around 2300 BC. If the earth was about 7,000 years old at the fall of Adam, then the earth is about 13,000 years old. The Bible outlines the dates and years of the Old Testament prophets and the timing of the flood quite clearly.

Yes. The flood absolutely actually happened as described in the Bible. It happened around 2300 BC just like the Bible said it did. I have a spiritual testimony of the Bible and it's teachings (as far as they are translated correctly). There is also overwhelming physical and historical evidence of a real and global flood.

Gramps said: "The good news is that none of this should effect your faith in the gospel. Whether or not Jonah was really swallowed by a whale or if the great flood covered the earth or not is simply not relevant to your salvation."
I disagree with the implication. Knowing whether or not things that prophets claim to be true are actually true are extremely important.

There is no evidence that all life bottlenecked 4,400 years and then restarted a new. All of the variations of life on this plant did not develop in 6,000 years (the time indicate for Adam and Eve) let alone after a total flood of the earth killing all life on the planet. It did not happen as described. It is just a story.
