We have a lot of time to figure out our next 'estate' in the next life.

Isn't that wonderful?

This person also is taking the sacrament when they go to church. The sacrament is an ordinance of forgiveness and eternal progression and the more we understand it the more we understand how beautiful it is and how beautiful the plan of salvation is. Sometimes we forget that the plan of salvation works for problems we have now and in the future too. We tend to think it only works for the problems we had before baptism. Its actually hard now that Satan is desperately trying to destroy families. He doesn't want people to gain the blessings of marriage and realize how wonderful marriage and family are.

we just need to focus on simple progression by faith and repentance. It's amazing how many answers to gospel questions will be answered in ways you can't comprehend by just using faith and repentance. We'll also get to a certain point one day where we'll be told through the spirit that our lives are acceptable before Heavenly Father.

This person is worried about the answer probably. Just have them focus on trying to help their family get closer to Jesus and Heavenly Father and it will be OK. But I would recommend anyone who really loves their family to protect their marriage and church membership as if its their most prized possession. People aren't doing that now. They need to.

If a person waits until after an ordinance to confess a sin, fulfills the other steps of repentance as well, and obtains forgiveness from God, the ordinance becomes valid at that point. Remember, though, that the longer repentance is procrastinated, the graver the sin becomes, and the harder it is to repent of it. That said, the unpardonable sin is the only one that is exempt from repentance and full forgiveness.

If the sealing had to be done again, I am pretty sure that the spouse who had been lied to and violated against would not go through with it. They would find someone else and be more aware of the signs of a liar. Therefore I am pretty sure the first sealing is valid, as long as the cheater repents. But I am not an authority, so don't take that as doctrine.
