We do not know what specific sin is unto death. Jesus did not specify, but He did say see and not gossip. There are a lot of people who gossip about sin, and this is a serious matter. The Holy Spirit has sealed us until the day of redemption, and we are warned never to grieve or quench the Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God, and walk in the spirit so that you will not yield to the lust of flesh. If any man sins, he has an advocate with the

Here's my 2 cents....

It is my understanding that a man must
be married to hold the office of Bishop

Whether or not he has ever been divorced, he
still need to have a current wife (ie; remarried)to be
eligible for that calling.

(BTW: cool website... Ya'll do good work...)

In reply to the first question as to whether there are any restrictions placed on divorced men
with regards to callings, the answer is yes, there are. They are identified in the General Priesthood
Manual for Leaders. An example would be the calling of Bishop (or Branch President) is not available
to divorced men who are currently single. If the broken marriage involved Temple marriage, even if the Temple Sealing has been set aside, men still need special clearance from the First Presidency to be sealed again in the Temple.
