I wanted a 6th but my husband was done done done. I poured my heart out to the Lord. I told him that I was willing, but I needed my husband to have equal input in the decision. I know my husband is a good man and will do what God tells him to do. If he truly wanted me to have another baby, he needed to convince my husband. That unless my husband was on board, I would assume the feelings I had were personal and not a prompting. . I also asked the Lord to give me the strength to stop bringing it up because bringing it up to my husband every day wasn’t giving him enough space to want a baby, I was just annoying him. My husband shortly had a change of heart, and he came to it on his own. Now, I have a willing partner, instead of one I had to drag along. Having 6 kids is going to be really hard, last thing I needed was him to feel resentful every time he has to wake up with the baby.

This is my take on personal revelation: The right choice is usually the one that others vehemently disagree with you over when you are following the commandments. Why? I don’t know, but it seems Satan is really good at influencing family and sometimes even other members of the church to push you not to use your agency the way God intends you to. They don’t call them hard choices for nothing.

If you feel the Spirit time and time again over the same thing, it is in line with the commandments, and it is a good and right, rest assured you are doing something right in your life.

As for another child, that’s between you and your husband, but I believe if God wants you to have another one, He will tell your husband one way or another.

I know I might sound old-fashioned, but I respect people who focus on building families rather than building wealth and having all the comforts of life. I say this because God is focused on family building and when we do the same, we follow Him. Remember, there’s no commandment that says “Thou shalt be rich and live comfortably.” On the other hand, there is a commandment to “multiply and replenish the Earth.”
