Paul is clear in Romans 5 that sin existed before the law, but the law was given as an accountability tool.  To sin is a condition of man that results when, through free will, we choose not to be in communion with God.  To transgress is to break the law, but sin happens throughout our daily lives.  To accept Christ is to be under His grace, but, according to Paul (1 Tim 1), the law is given for the lawless and rebellious.]]></description>
