Deb,
The way it was explained to me a long time ago was that the church looks at tithe paying on a yearly basis, hence tithing settlement only 1 time a year. My father only paid tithing once a year and was a full tithe payer because he paid it all. If you are paying for the missed months than you are a full tithe payer. If you don’t plan on paying those months than you should probably talk to your bishop and he can guide you the best.

I was not a member at the time he served here, but I have heard people remembering him. There are always missionaries congregation remembers more than others and he seems to be one of them. Still, most members wouldn’t recognize him in these videos due to a beard.
