I've always felt that Mary Magdalene was his wife...whether or not isn't important. If these sort of things were expedient for us to know, we would know them. I just know in my spirit that Deity has not required anything of us all that he himself hasn't experienced. I love him for this. I'm so glad to call him Father.

There is an error in this article. It was Orson Hyde who said that the wedding at Cana was actually that of her and Jesus Christ and that Mary of Bethany and Martha were Jesus’s plural wives, not Brigham Young, as the Journal of Discourses sections that the article references clearly show: http://scriptures.byu.edu/jod/JoD02.pdf (page 75). That being said, it is still quite likely that Mary Magdalene was indeed Jesus’s wife, although the evidence regarding Mary of Bethany and Martha is much less clear. Daughters in My Kingdom seems to suggests that Mary Magdalene, Mary of Bethany, and Martha were essentially the first Relief Society presidency. It’s possible that they could have been sealed to the Savior, but since Orson Hyde was just an apostle, not the prophet, and appears to have been speaking his opinion on this subject rather than actual revealed doctrine (which could only have been revealed at the time directly to Brigham Young), the evidence is less than conclusive.

Gramps’ interpretation of the scriptures however, including his reference to the JST and the understanding of what that scripture really means, is very impressive and eye-opening however. At the very least, it is clear that Mary Magdalene was not the prostitute that the Catholic Church made her out to be—although Jesus is said to have cast out seven demons from her, so she was wicked and sinful at one time. She may very well have been the woman whom he saved from being stoned to death for adultery, as tradition states, but the scriptures are not clear on that matter either, nor is modern-day revelation.
