I'm not sure what position the asker is in, but I am currently 4 months pregnant, or close to it (depends on how one counts the weeks), and my husband is enduring through it with me. He is the sole provider for our household, he travels for work and worries constantly, he has sympathy symptoms, and he carries the weight of three on his shoulders (himself, my child, and me).

Men and women are equal, but equality and sameness are different. I couldn't do what my husband does and he cannot do what I do. Some things, like my pregnancy, we share in different ways. My body wouldn't be ready for this stage had it not been for my prior conditions and trials, and it is all worth it.

It isn't about suffering at all, although pregnancy can be hard sometimes. It's about the journey and the lessons we learn as well as the trust God gives us women to be bearers of His beloved children.
