Satan and his followers do not have the gift of agency like we who dwell on earth do. We come to earth to prove that we will follow God and Satan and his followers have already proven that they will not.

It’s all about agency. An evil spirit is there to take away agency. You therefore have the right and the power in Christ to remove that evil spirit, thus maintaining agency.

The power of creation is that of Jesus Christ… And those acting in his name and authority may command spirits unwanted and unwilling to leave. Those banish evil spirits are subject to his authority because they are near us in the midst of the creations heavenly Father commanded and Jesus completed. They are thus obligated to leave when instructed to do so in his name.
