The very wording of Richard&#039;s question reminds us that Abraham&#039;s experience was &quot;showing his obedience&quot;.  Which it absolutely was.  And, although it pointed to Christ&#039;s Atonement, Isaac didn&#039;t have to pay any actual price.  Christ&#039;s experience and sacrifice was not just a test of obedience.  He had an actual price to pay for each of us.]]></description>
