Comments on: Will we be able to communicate with others between kingdoms in heaven?

I remember reading many years ago, possibly in journal of discourses, Brigham Young comments on the sealing powers being a conduit such that if a loved one ended in a different kingdom we could know of them. I’m unsure if he was the president at the time. Or it was just his opinion ??

You are right, no we should not teach from them, they are not scriptures. Seminary & Institute teachers need only teach from the scriptures, as that is their purpose. There was a media frenzy after the official church statement was made. Hearsay aside, the statement only specifically discourages using the book as a resource to teach church classes from. They do not condemn Julie’s experience nor discourage people from personally reading it. It is her own personal sacred experience from God that she ecourages we follow God’s path, that we should rely on the scriptures, rely on the prophet and prepare every needful thing. Her book has encouraged me, inspired me. I feel the spirit as I read and it brings me closer to God. The fruit of this book is good.

Read near death experiences, “There is no death” by Sarah Lanelle Menet and “A greater tomorrow” by Julie Rowe. Alot of people have passed over and exprienced communication within heaven, or have had visions. You can’t rely on these books as scriptures but they’re a very good source to gain understanding.
