I would say (though I am late) that the spirit really can lead both men and women to divorce. So if what your husband says is true, the only way to know for sure is to ask the Lord yourself. It very well may be that this marriage is good for neither of you, nor the children.
I know of a few divorces where the spirit directed the action, and it was better for all involved. However, the only way to know for sure is to come to know for yourself, through mighty prayer and fasting, what you ought to do, and do not eliminate divorce as an option. It may be that your husband has no clue what he is saying- that he received no such answer. But he also may have. You need to get an answer for yourself to determine what course your family must take.

Excellent response. It's hard to give a personal response in such a public forum. I would also recommend reading "Wife For Life: The Power to Succeed in Marriage." http://wifeforlifebook.com/ It is a powerful and wonderful book that will complement the other books listed.

This is not insensitive. It is honest and may be the only way to save this marriage. I have seen too many marriages break apart because of the exact thing said in this response.
