I love this analogy and I know that I heard it in a General Conference talk what I though was 2005. Do you know where to find this analogy?

The best analogy is that sin is like walking across an ocean beach. Our passing leaves footprints in the sand. But the ocean waves of the Savior's atonement can completely wash them away, and it becomes as if they were never even there. President Boyd K. Packer has told us that not only can we become forgiven of our sins, but we can actually become *innocent* once again. That goes far beyond forgiveness. To me, is a wonderful, complete and thorough transformation.

It's more like a [living] tree. Remove the nails from a tree and Christ willing the holes go away. The tree becomes more beautiful and stronger, and yes, NO nail hole. A NEW tree (new creature) if you will. No, God doesn't leave holes, the devil wants us to think he does.
