Is it possible the Mary is the Heavenly Mother b/c Jesus is the Heavenly Son. And Jesus said John behold your mother.???

yes the Bible testifies that we do in fact have both a Heavenly Father and a Heavenly Mother. The Spirit and The Bride are giving salvation in these last days (Rev. 22:17)

There are two experiences in my life that ground my testimony of the Restored Gospel. One of those is my discovery of Heavenly Mother. After a youth conference in which I learned a little about her I felt prompted to pray about it. As I knelt in prayer and asked, “Heavenly Mother, are you there?” I was filled from head to toe with the Spirit as well as overwhelming love from Her. I didn’t make a pattern of praying to her–like Gramps said, it isn’t after the pattern that has been established for our salvation. But I know she is there and am grateful for Her presence and love in my life. I suppose the point I am trying to make here is that we should gain a testimony of Her as well as acknowledge and respect Her role as the eternal companion of our loving Father in Heaven. But unless we are commanded to do otherwise, we should not worship in any other way than that which has been established in the scriptures and through revelation. We can speculate as much as we want, but there are things we won’t know until the next life–and that’s okay.

In reply to Deborah Crow. It doesn't say anywhere here that you can't pray to any one else, it just says that there is only one God.via Jesus Christ. It depends on what you mean by prayer surely. Other churches, the RC church for example, do not pray to Mary or to saints as if they were some sort of deity, but only to ask them to support out own prayers to God. Who we talk with in our own minds has to be a personal decision. God gave us intelligence to discern not to need to ask permission of other humans before we do anything. As long as all our prayers are positive, what on earth can it matter ?

The Lord counseled, or perhaps even commanded, (3 Nephi 13)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
12 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
13 For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

19 Therefore ye must always pray unto the Father in my name; (3 Nephi 18:19)

The Lord Jesus Christ did not teach us to pray to anyone but only to our Father in Heaven!

I have prayed to The Father & asked him to tell Heavenly Mother that I love her or show gratitude for her… Although I’m careful not to pray TO her…

Who do you think you are ? We’ve had MANY GA’s refer to our Heavenly Mother.. She DOES Exist. If I or anyone.. Wants to say a little prayer to her.. Or any member of our family that’s there.. We can, and it’s nobody’s business. A prayer.. Is personal, and IS “talking and Chatting” with Heavenly Father. We talk and chat with those that pass if we want. Our thoughts and prayers are to HF.. And we are allowed to talk to passed relatives. This article is annoying and You have No say! This is a very personal thing.. And you have No say.

The LDS church is different from some other Christian churches in that we do not believe in praying to anyone else but Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ our Lord, Savior and Redeemer, everything else appears to be against the first 2 of the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:1-6: “And God spake all these words, saying,

2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.. .”
