					<description><![CDATA[I am descended from one of Edward Partridge&#039;s daughters who both married Joseph as plural wives.  There is actual diary entries from one sister detailing a variety of things including Emma&#039;s knowledge and involvement in the matter.  Giving her consent and later rescinding it.  It must have been difficult for her.  That is one situation that is documented first/second hand (depending on which sister you mean) involving plural wives of Joseph&#039;s.  My ancestor later re-married Amasa Lyman of the 12 and it was through this second marriage that my family comes.
