Question

Dear Gramps,

I was wondering about people who are worthy of the terrestrial glory at the time of their death. What is the purpose of having them sealed to their families if they cannot progress to the Celestial Kingdom?
Diane, from Redmond, Washington

Answer

Dear Diane,
If you could tell me how we could determine which people were worthy of a terrestrial glory at the times of their death, I could perhaps suggest an approach to the answer to your question. There is apparently also the opportunity for post-mortal spirits to hear and accept the gospel before the time of their resurrection. So the die may not be completely cast at the moment of death.
