We know that the gospel must be spread throughout the world in the last days. We also know that the enemies of Israel will be aligned against them just prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ. With the recent events in Egypt, Tunisia, Iran, etc., does this mean that these Islamic countries will experience a ‘democracy awakening’ for a brief time in order for missionary work to be conducted there? Something similiar to the fall of communism?

Dear Richard,

black-mormons-missionariesIn a sense, it already is happening with all the various way’s of communication. Just think of the number of countries covered by the satellite transmission of General Conference. Or how many countries can access the Church’s website via the internet. It is my opinion that we do not know all the ways that the Lord will spread the Gospel around the world. But it is our job to continue to pray and be ready to share the Gospel when the opportunity presents itself both locally and globally.
