Question

Gramps,

Do we know who the angel was that helped Jesus Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane?

Kenyon

Answer

Kenyon,

In his final general conference talk, Elder Bruce R McConkie opined that Adam was the angel in the Garden of Gethsemane. In his own words summarizing the events of the Atonement, he states “We know that an angel came from the courts of glory to strengthen him in his ordeal, and we suppose it was mighty Michael, who foremost fell that mortal man might be” (The Purifying Power of Gethsemane).
