Dear Gramps,
I teach an Aaronic priesthood quorum in the Mormon Church and they are pretty rowdy and do not have respect for church reverence. it seems that no matter how well prepared the class is they find a way offend the spirit. Do you have any tricks up your sleeve for a disrespectful priesthood quorum?

Dear Robert,
I do not know what quorum you are talking about but let’s assume that it is the Deacons Quorum. Here’s a tactic that you might try. Call the rowdiest boy in the class to be the class president. Give him the opportunity to conduct the class–welcome the class members, call on someone for the opening and closing prayers, and then turn the time over to you for any business and for the lesson. Then charge him with the responsibility to keep order in the class. Works like a charm.
