Hi Mr. Gramps,

I was wondering, my cousin and I have been extremely close since before he could talk. He’s four years younger than I. Now, we are not allowed to speak to each other because of a family situation. I was wondering, whenever something is wrong with him, I can feel it. We have a kind of intuition that we know when somethings wrong with each other. Is it possible that this is a spiritual gift like mentioned in the scriptures?

Menley

Dear Menley,

There are MANY gifts of the Spirit – many more than are mentioned in the scriptures.

Mormon-spiritual_gifts_logoYes, it is possible that it’s a gift of the Spirit. A good “test” would be if you have that same intuition with others.

But even if it wasn’t a literal gift of the Spirit, would it be a bad thing to thank our Father in Heaven for this gift? All our blessings come from Him anyway.
